The Most Beautiful Roads in the World?

One thing I remember especially well about my time working at Moots Cycles is the incredible beauty of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and environs. Now everyone has a chance to ride the roads in that area. Kent Eriksen, the founder of Moots, will be leading his annual Tour de Steamboat on Saturday, July 26. I know this is late notice, but the rides would definitely be worth an unplanned road trip.

Downtown Steamboat Springs

There will be a 40 mile ride and a 100 mile ride which will have some very, very significant climbs. What would you expect in a town that sits deep in the Rockies, roughly a stone's throw from the continental divide?

Details here:

The ride is sponsored by Kent's bicycle company, Kent Eriksen Cycles. Kent makes some staggeringly nice titanium bikes, and he is one of the nicest guys in the bicycle business.

So drop what you are doing, head for Steamboat, and ride the Rockies!
